Why study games?Digital games have had a positive influence on my life in many ways including my health, education, and socialization. I even met my husband online while playing a game. I see games as tools that have the potential to help people teach, learn, and grow. I’m driven to understand their affordances and limitations to help make our everyday lives more gameful.
